I collect informational leaflets, pamphlets and books and take the pictorial elements out and use them to illustrate small A6 handmade books. Each book contains only pictures from each leaflet with textual elements also lifted from the leaflet. It is interesting to see whether these books create some sort of narrative from the illustrations once out of context and randomly re-arranged.
This is an ongoing project which is now branching out to re-renderings of illustrated books, films and my old school photo.
